My original Air Max 1 ‘Mars Yard’ was released in 2019 and became one of my quickest-selling releases, selling out in approximately seven minutes.

A few years later, I revisited the concept for a client, updating the original design rather than reproducing it exactly. Unfortunately, after work had already begun, communication stopped and the project was never completed for them.

This Size 14 pair is the one-off sample that remained from that project.

The original design was updated with crisp white spacer mesh and a larger red suede Swoosh, positioned slightly underneath the front overlay.

The suede was upgraded to an incredibly soft calf suede in a ‘Moroccan Flame’ colour, sourced from the UK.

Red pull tabs at the tongue and heel continue the Mars Yard reference, with a red Air unit providing the final hit of colour through the sole.
